One Week Forward – Autumn’s coming

It’s been an interesting week and I’ve been extremely active. Too active for the likes of me. I manage to get a some things forward and even had a little bit of fun. On Monday, we had the kitchen designer visiting to get the measurements of our current kitchen and hear about our wishes, we haven’t really decided anything yet but we’ll get some suggestions and see what she has planned for us, this includes the big price tag that comes with it. I planned to go to pole dancing lessons (how did I end up doing this? let’s get back to this much later) on Tuesday as one of my favourite instructors was doing a choreographed dance class, but unfortunately for me, I had to be home that day. However, I manage to go to class on Wednesday with another of my favourite instructors that I hadn’t seen all Spring-Summer. Thursday, I went out with my friend, her sister and sister in law. Grabbed dinner at Konnichiwa and went to watch Absolutely Fabulous at the cinema, the movie did instil some bad habits, but hey, what are you going to do if we were pondering who to ask for permission ‘to do something’ and one of the ladies, a total stranger says, “What would Patsy do?”. Well, we became Patsy (minus the alcohol).

Then came Friday, I went on a sausage course. Yes you read right! I went to learn how to make sausages. I’ll have to blog about this and I do recommend it to anyone who’s interested in making their own sausages or just curious about the entire process. Today (Saturday), I went Pokémon Go hunting at Heureka in Tikkurila, Vantaa with my daughter and dragged along her friend and her friend’s mum and brother. Before leaving, my daughter told the neighbour about it and she tagged along as well. We didn’t find so many great Pokémons, the amount of Pidgeys and Ratatas that came with the lures just brought more frustration than it was worth. The kids found that it was more fun to play amongst each other than stare at the screen. The parents however were glued to finding better Pokémons. After the hunt, we went home and I had to get ready for a birthday party. Girl’s night out and all, except that I didn’t go to town. I had planned to go but I remembered that I wanted to bake some Dr. Perkele Chocolate Chip Cookies for my hubby’s cousin in Malta since her kids were going back on Sunday early in the morning. Finally, I discovered some new chocolate selection from Fazer, Berry Pearls strawberry dipped in chocolate. I decided to test it out to see if it was the same as the ones I got from a friend in Japan. I have to say it’s not the same but it wasn’t too bad.

Below is a small collection of my week in a nutshell.

Konnichiwa – how was it? My Malaysian friend (who sadly moved to Germany) raved about it! I still haven’t been.
